This fellowship will promote the scientific management of Gibraltar's Barbary macaque (Macaca sylvanus) population by facilitating a thorough census of resident monkeys, investigating human-macaque conflict mitigation strategies, and establishing a robust computerised animal records database. This resource will underpin research and policymaking, fostering the species' long-term conservation in Gibraltar.
