Applications for Darwin Plus Local are currently open.


Darwin Plus Local is a scheme within the existing UK government’s Darwin Plus fund, which funds projects to protect the unique biodiversity and improve resilience to climate change within the UK Overseas Territories (UKOTs). Darwin Plus Local will provide grants of up to £50,000 for organisations, and £20,000 for individuals for projects lasting 6 months to 1 year depending on the Round.

Applications for Darwin Plus Main are currently closed.


Darwin Plus Main is intended for environmental projects of benefit to the UK Overseas Territories (UKOTs), offering grants between £50,000 and £1 million, for projects lasting between 6 months and 3 years. Preference will be given to discrete projects implementing existing identified environmental solutions on the ground.

Applications for Darwin Plus People & Skills are currently open.

 

Darwin Plus People & Skills is aimed at building capacity through training, education, and professional development opportunities. Darwin Plus People & Skills is intended to fund UK Overseas Territories (UKOTs) nationals and/or long term residents and/or those with a long term relationship with an UKOT where it does not have a permanent resident population, to increase their knowledge and ability to meet long-term strategic outcomes for the natural environment in UKOTs.

Darwin Plus People & Skills offers grants of up to £100,000 to projects lasting up to 24 months.

Applications for Darwin Plus Strategic are currently open.


Darwin Plus Strategic is intended for projects that can demonstrate greater ambition and/or collaboration, relative to projects being funded under the other Darwin Plus grant schemes. Darwin Plus Strategic offers grants between £1 million and £3 million for projects lasting between 3 and 5 years.
