Summary

Climate change is one of the major threats facing Ascension’s biodiversity and the integrity of its newly designated MPA. This project will adopt an island-wide approach to understanding the most serious impacts of climate change and putting in place adaptation actions to reduce these. This locally-specific information is vital to capture the attention of policy makers and the sustainable adaptation measures will build long-term resilience in Ascension’s ecosystems and provide a model that can be applied more widely.
