SHAPE aspires to become ‘The Leading Organisation in Organic Farming Methods on St Helena’ by realising an organic garden on their grounds, providing fresh produce to Mantis, tailored to their demand, adapting to the ‘Farm-to-Fork Strategy’, delivered by adults with disabilities. A successful project will see reduction in the use and risk of non-organic pesticides and fertilizers, increased biodiversity in soil meaning more fertile soil, better crop production, greater economic empowerment among farmers and subsequent food and nutrition security.
