The project will tackle the lack of information about the marine biodiversity and habitats of the western and central sectors of the Jubilee Shoals (SBAA Akrotiri), areas not surveyed yet. This missing ecological information of EU relevant habitats (seagrass beds, rocky reefs, submerged caves, coralligenous) is needed for a holistic, ecosystem-based anagement approach. With the participation of stakeholder in the surveys, the project will raise awareness, build capacity, and provide evidence-based tools for the sustained management of the shoals.
