Summary

This project will determine which of the non-native bird species found in the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) are invasive and therefore, detrimental to the environment. It will then conduct a Feasibility Study into the management of these species with a view to eradication, control or “do nothing”. Using the Feasibility Study, governing authorities can make informed decisions on bird management to improve the environmental quality and biodiversity of BIOT.
