Summary
The Department of Environment and Coastal Resources (DECR) carries out several conservation projects, fire mitigation responses and enforcement patrols in Providenciales and around the various Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI). Currently we utilise a large fuel intensive vessel that is becoming unsustainable. The DECR is seeking to procure a smaller, effective and fuel-efficient vessel that reduces emissions, to patrol the MPAs and ensure compliance.
