Summary
Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease (SCTLD) has impacted over 20 species of hard corals throughout the Caribbean, including Montserrat. Effective treatments created from the natural probiotic microorganisms of healthy corals to prevent and treat the disease are being used in the US but have not yet been used in the Caribbean. This project will create a multi-purpose testing tank to test probiotic samples from Montserrat corals on Montserrat corals and train Government of Montserrat personnel on testing and documenting procedures.
