Standard Indicator Webinars, April 2023

In April 2023, two events were hosted as part of the Standard Indicator roll out for all three of the Biodiversity Challenge Funds (BCF): the Darwin Initiative, Darwin Plus and IWT Challenge Funds.

The webinars were designed to provide current projects an introduction to the BCF Standard Indicators and some guidance on how these should be used ahead of the Annual Report deadline.

The webinars were open to all current Project Leaders and technical staff and provided the opportunity for projects to ask any questions they had regarding the new process.

Please note the BCFs adjusted the terminology from ‘Gender Equality and Social Inclusion’ to ‘Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion’ in September 2026 to align terminology with wider Defra programming. While Disability Inclusion was previously considered to be included within Social Inclusion and should already have been a consideration, applicants and projects should be aware of this change.

The above webinar was held prior to the change in terminology and therefore refers to ‘Gender Equality and Social Inclusion’.
