This project produces and begins the implementation of an education guide and associated resources that enhances students’ environmental knowledge and responsibility of tropical coastal ecosystems, with emphasis on coral reef, mangrove, and seagrass ecosystems. The curriculum is adapted specifically to the Cayman Islands, including a general educational guide, educators’ workshops, and hands-on activities and field trips for students. Through the curriculum, students will come to better understand, value, and prioritize these ecosystems, both in everyday life and in future decision-making.
