Summary
Our project aims at protecting the crucial Griffon Vulture nesting cliffs at Episkopi, Akrotiri SBA, an action key to saving this majestic bird from extinction in the SBAs and Cyprus. Allied to this will be training workshops for enforcement bodies, to increase cooperation and effectiveness in tackling illegal poison bait use - the biggest threat driving vultures to extinction - plus awareness-raising actions and work with local shepherds to set up novel farm feeding stations, providing safe food for vultures.
