Katie began working with striated caracara in 2015 and now leads an international conservation research program focused on their long-term monitoring, understanding the species’ basic needs, and positively changing global perceptions of this unusual and rare bird of prey. Katie's work on Saunders Island is yielding some exciting results, both for the species and the Falklands. My project is to document her work in a 30 minute film, showing in detail, the birds, her methods and the exciting findings.
