Summary
Immersive learning experiences at CCMI provide students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to engage with nature, witness biodiversity, and participate in active research. These opportunities, however, are often financially out of reach for the average household in the Cayman Islands. This project will offer fully funded placements for local students to articipate in a week-long introductory marine biology and conservation course. This project will train the next generation of ocean stewards, building capacity for future careers in
science and conservation.
